Wishes ala E A Sports

Can  you even begin to imagine how ecstatic I would be IF this really happened?  I will be out of the country on a cruise, which may save my sanity and my personal well being.  It would however be GREAT to read all about it when I return.

WEEK 4 EA Sports simulation:

Auburn 48, LSU 17: After being stunned the week prior, LSU is all out of sorts once again at home as Auburn runs away with a surprising blowout victory. Auburn is off to the early jump when they score 14 points in the first quarter and take a commanding 27-3 lead in to the half. Auburn’s defense is the story of the game, limiting LSU to just 175 yards of offense and forcing four turnovers. Mettenberger has a frustrating performance, going just 5-for-21 for 50 yards and four interceptions. LSU drops to 2-2 while Auburn improves to the same record.

I guess they had us losing to Wash st and Miss st.  Couldn’t find them.  But, if we pull this one off, it’s ok by me.

If we are 1-2 (with a loss to MSU) going into the LSU game, we are in serious trouble. I could see us losing to a pass happy WSU before MSU. MSU lost 5 defensive starters, specifically two excellent CBs and their best inside LB. They also lost several of their best starting skill players on offense. Also, let’s not forget that these guys are now on NCAA probation. Some factors in their favor, a strong offensive line, an experienced SEC caliber QB, and probation. Yes, probation. These guys could come out with a chip on their shoulder, especially when it comes to Auburn. I think they still consider themselves (irrationally so) the injured party when it comes to the Cam Newton saga and their subsequent probation.
Auburn potentially has all of the pieces in place on both sides of the ball EXCEPT QB. In my opinion, if Gus and Lashlee can’t find and coach up at least a Chris Todd level QB, then we are in for a loooonnng season.

……The thing about EA’s college football games is that it’s not at all indicative of a real game. Those 5 minute quarters should tell you that! There’s a uniform sameness to how every team in the country runs an out route, in that game. We fooled around with the 2010 version at the beach several years ago. I wanted to design my own playbook, but didn’t see that the game. Seemed to me you could really dice defenses up with an array of rub routes. On defense, the key is recognition, and getting switched to the right player. A lot of times you could read which play was being run just by the formation. Sort of like Auburn’s offense last year…

……Still, those things are fun if you have the time to really sit down and learn them!
