What Did Santa Drop Off at Your House?

All the gifts are unwrapped, and the living room looks like Santa had a head-on collision with the Christmas Tree. Winnie had some Orange and Blue under the tree, just as I did. It is that time of year when I open a thread so everyone at TET can tell what they got for Christmas.

Share what cool things you got for Christmas. It is more fun when you share the excitement with your closest friends like the folks here at Track ‘Em Tigers.

War Eagle, and Merry Christmas!

    Merry Christmas to everyone.

Santa was very good to me. I got a new laptop, an Auburn sweater, and a new AU crock-pot to use for tailgaiting. Best of all we have a new grand baby to share Christmas with this year!

Good times with family in Florida and Peach Bowl tickets. That’s all the wife and I did, really, a couple of small items.
Our bigger Christmas money we spent on two kids living in Foster Care homes. This was started by Clark Howard (ATL radio/TV personality) and is called Clark’s Christmas Kids. We chose two kids, one was 2 and the other was 19 and starting college. They were each able to pick three things they wanted/needed and we then purchase them. We went a little bit beyond what they asked for but it was such a blessing to be able to help. I cannot fathom what it must be like to be in their situations.

And to those about to have grandkids? Yes, you are in for a blessing!! We cannot imagine not having our two granddaughters! Congrats!

Junior DT Dontavious Russell has Tweeted that he is foregoing the NFL draft and returning to Auburn for his senior season. His draft projections were somewhere between the 2nd and 4th rounds. Not first-round but still not shabby.
So, there Auburn fans, is something of a Christmas gift in its own right. I would not at all mind a couple more of these!
    War Eagle!

Thanks for the news Atl. That is a Christmas gift!
As for my Christmas list, I got new fishing tackle, Auburn sweat and golf shirts, and a new 65 inch Samsung flat screen TV, just in time to watch the Tigers in the Peach Bowl.

…..I got an instant-read thermometer, some Contigo mugs, a Williams Sonoma gift card (maybe I can afford that fancy Dutch oven, now!), and…. I finally nailed a perfect medium-rare rib roast grilled on charcoal and hickory! My family was all home for the Holidays, and I had an awesome time visiting, and cooking. Christmas Eve candlelight service at Independent Presbyterian Church, with my mother. She doesn’t have too many more of those left, I’m afraid. I’m pretty skeptical of organized religion these days, but I had missed hearing the pipe organ and the majesty, there! Some good lessons, too. And hey! I found out that I could still get into an old suit and tie with a 32 inch waist!

  9. Acid Reign Acid Reign says:

…..Quite honestly, my best Christmas presents came earlier this month. My daughter graduated at UAB, and we got a bunch of snow in December. 2016 has been a great year.

  10. audude audude says:

Couldn’t get to it yesterday so Merry Christ to all! I got my oldest 2 kids new phones, my youngest Charlie Puth concert tickets and my wife some LL Bean warm stuff for the cold weather (in the teens now). My best present was at the Neurosurgeon on the 21st saying no surgery for the protrusion between the C6-C7 vertebrae! I am a low maintenance kind of guy. However my Atlanta connection did get me a Auburn 32 oz vacuum sealed tumbler along with a new sweater, shirt and tie. Blessed by the family coming together both Christmas Eve with my in laws and Christmas day with my side of the family tree. We have so fun together it should be outlawed. Oh yeah, it snowed Christmas Eve and for the 1st time since 2008 we had a white Christmas!
