What Did Santa Leave Under Your Tree?

All the gifts are unwrapped, and the living room still looks like Santa had a head-on collision with the Christmas tree. Winnie and I both had some Orange and Blue under the tree, how about you? It’s that time of year when I open a thread so everyone at TET can tell what they got for Christmas.

Share what cool things you got for Christmas. It is more fun when you share the excitement with your closest friends like the folks here at TET.

Here’s hoping you all had a Merry Christmas.

I looked for this post yesterday. Always enjoy reading the comments MyAuburn. I got all new Auburn gear. Auburn shirt, hat, and a Malzahn type sweater vest.

Best gift was getting my oldest daughter home from USoCar after her 1st semester! It’s good to have family at this time of year.

My mother, a 1951 AU graduate experienced her 1st Christmas without my father. They met at Auburn while he was in the Army at Ft. Benning. I bring this up so that all of the readers can express their Love for Auburn. She definitely showed me the way as we live in Ohio and always watched the Iron Bowl and pulled, rooted, and cajoled for AU!

Sorry to hear about your dad's passing. We have a similar story. My parents also met while my dad was at Ft. Benning. Also, I know it was great to have your daughter home for Christmas, but I thought she was an Auburn student?

Thanks ATM. Sorry for your loss.

My daughter looked at Auburn and then USC. Socackalacky made a much better offer and their program, International Business, is a actually the #1 rated program in the country. A no brainer and she is enjoying school. As a n aside, she has Auburn football to compare USC to and says it is no where near the same atmosphere. 🙂

Santa brought me something I can always use: hunting stuff for the quail and pheasant hunting I do every winter. Also my toy this year is a new moon ping pong ball blaster air gun.

All of my family could not get together on or before Christmas so we will be having a belated Christmas party at our house Saturday. Can hardly wait to surprise my sons and grandchildren with a ping pong ball shot as they enter the room. Then I'll give them the same toy moon ball blaster and … let the games begin!

…..I got a knife sharpener, a Blue Yeti USB mic, a nice bread knife, a big electric griddle and some Carhartt pants, among other things. The best was 3 straight days of visiting with family and friends. Oh, and unrestrained eating for most of it!

Sorry for my long absence. First both Winnies parents left us, then my Mom this past Nov. Taking care of family has basically been my life for 2 yrs.
I am now the elder statesman of the pityfully small family. Maybe a grandkid soon.
Enough of the sad stuff. Winnie and I are spending the holiday in our log cabin in the N. Ga mtns. Isolated, quiet, and a beautiful spot in the woods by the lake. It is a little slice of heaven.
AU placemats and potholders, AU calenders, golf shirt, and a neat blanket for cold stadium days.
The highlight gift was from my son, a 12ft., sneak boat with trolling motor for the lake here at the cabin. It is packed with yellow perch and bass. Only 2 full time residents among the 7 cabins in the development and no one ever fishes., You can catch dinner in less than an hour anytime.
I will be back to posting soon.

Let’s see, “Isolated, quiet, and a beautiful spot in the woods by the lake. It is a little slice of heaven.” Sounds like Fannin County, maybe?

Sorry for your losses … and I hope for better times ahead for you and your family.

I know it’s been tough on y’all MyAuburn but we look forward to those future post. Enjoy the trip. Y’all deserve the rest.

Sennheiser headphones, type k thermocouples and digital readout for a top secret project, several books on homebrew information, a 2017 calender with pictures of my dog, a massage gift certificate, and a cordless razor…..A great Christmas.

…..I’m a Sennheiser devotee, too. I’ve got a set of HD-380-Pro, closed-ear ones. Those things sound great, are pretty durable, and if the cord gets shorts in it, you can unplug it and buy a new cord.

The better half and I really didn’t exchange gifts, per se. I bought her a diamond tennis bracelet and I got a watch complete with AU logo on the face. We did, however, head down to Orlando on the 17th to spend a few days doing Disney Springs and Epcot. We then headed over to Tampa for a couple of days where we were able to take in a hockey game between Tampa Bay and Detroit (she is from Detroit and, naturally, a Red Wings fan) although that game didn’t exactly go her way. We then spent Christmas with her mom who lives about 45 minutes outside Tampa.
We fly out of ATL on Saturday heading down to the Big Easy for the Sugar Bowl – so I consider that to be a pretty good Christmas present!!
It was great to just “get away” for a few days without the worry and stress of work and even better to see some family we only see a couple of times a year.
But it is REALLY great to be able to travel to NOLA and see another Tigers football game!!

WAR EAGLE – and may God bless each and every one of you in the New Year!!

…..I wasn't supposed to get my wife anything, this year. She wanted for her birthday and Christmas to spend the weekend before Thanksgiving in Orange Beach. We did! I tried to live-blog the Alabama A&M game, and the beach internet failed completely….

…..I couldn't stand stand not to have at least something under the tree for her. Here in the House of the Missing Gloves, I got her a new set of Isotoners.
