“You’re probably one of the best players to ever put on an Auburn helmet.” That’s what Bo Jackson told Running back Tre Mason at the SEC Championship Game. And Bo knows Auburn Football.

Today Bo’s statement was seconded by two important organizations. First the Associated Press named Mason the South Eastern Conference Offensive Player of the Year and then just a few hours later he was named a Heisman Finalist.

“When I heard the news, I was in disbelief,” Tre said.”I am honored and blessed. I couldn’t have done it without my teammates; this is an honor for all of them also.”

Mason’s 304 yard four touchdown performance in Saturday’s SEC Championship game was the catalyst that propeled him into the Heisman conversation.  He will join five other finalist in traveling to New York this Saturday to attend the Heisman ceremonies. The winner will be announced Monday night on ESPN Heisman show. Congratulations Tre, good luck, and …
