Track ‘Em Tigers Growing Pains

By on October 13th, 2012 in Football, News 6 Comments »

During the game today, Track ‘Em Tigers experienced some technical difficulty when the site went down temporarily. Apparently we exceeded our bandwidth during  Acid Reign’s Open Thread. The good news though, is the problem has been fixed.

We have increased our amount with the web host and do not anticipate any further problems. Acid told me we had a lot of commenter activity and the site was handling the open thread well. So next Saturday, Track ‘Em Tigers should have our old “TET Game day Open Thread” running once again without issue.

Thanks for being patient with us as we work out the kinks here at our new platform. The game was a real downer today and at this point no one knows when or if the wheels can be put back on the wagon. But check in with us Sunday to get Acid Reign’s game review and grades. Just like the game, I don’t expect it to be pretty, because the Acid man always tells it like it is.

Until then, War Eagle folks!

You guys at TET are doing great. Wish our coaches were doing half as well as you all.

  2. Tiger on the mountain Tiger on the mountain says:

I just thought Loeffler called another short side play and crashed the system. It wouldn’t have shocked me. Not at this point….

I loved the open thread….except for the part when the Tigers started melting down….

  3. KoolBell KoolBell says:

Great job by Acid, and all of you guys!~

……After the site crashed, we were basically chunked back to the old dial-up, message board days. Gotta say, it was strange to be relying on email at the end. Folks, Auburn’s football season is totally borked. We’ll cheer now for first downs, painful hits, and three and outs. We’re pretty much now unlikely to win another conference game. How’s being an underdog to Vanderbilt sound?

…..That said, I’ve really got to hand a shout-out to our readers, for helping crash the site. As I emailed the other folks on the editorial staff on the site, if we’re blowing up on participation, we’re doing something right! I’m confident that little bit of trouble is taken care of.

…..Next week, I plan to set up a thread for each quarter. The second half live thread seemed to update well, till we started getting really slowed down early in the 4th quarter. I’m figuring that with our newly acquired bandwidth, and a thread each quarter, we’ll have things more up to speed next week. Hopefully, the team will have improved, too.

…..Thanks so much for your continued participation. Over here, we’re strictly in it for the sake of Auburn, not any bottom line. As always, you’ll get real fan opinion in this space, not some advertiser-driven drivel. Even if it’s painful. Again, thanks for your support. And War Eagle!
