The College All-Star Bowl

By on February 9th, 2014 in Member Post 10 Comments »

War Eagle! I think I’m finally beginning to pull out of the fog that was the BCSNG. Don’t get me wrong. It was a great season and one for the ages. Nothing should diminish that. It’s just that I personally wanted this bunch to win the championship so badly…well, because they deserved it. That’s all. I’ll always love this team for what they accomplished. I suspect we all will.

I’n other news, Jake is fortunate to have been invited to play in The College All-Star Bowl which will be held on Feb. 14th in Greenville, SC. The game will be televised on CBS College Sports Channel at 5PM. Nosa Eguae and Ryan White are also participating.

We had to prepare a highlight video for Jake. If you’re interested, you can view by clicking on this link

I appreciate you folks allowing me to post and share here. It’s one of my favorite sites and I really enjoy the content.

War Eagle!

We’ll always love this team too Jeff. There will be other great Auburn teams but there will never be another team to so capture the heart of the Auburn Family and the imagination of a nation.

    Thanks for posting this.

Yeah, 2013 team will be forever special. Also I always liked watching Jake, Nosa, and Ryan play. Pulling for them to have a good game. I’ll be watching.

This team will always be special to all Auburn people. They came within 13 seconds of pulling off the most unlikely turn around in NCAA history. They are all Auburn Tigers and, everyone knows:

    WAR EAGLE !!!

    GO BIG BLUE !!!

Yeh, I think they tied for the greatest turnaround in NCAA history. That’s remarkable when you really think about it. A special group.

Nice film. Good examples of run fit, pass coverage, and sideline to sideline pursuit.

Thanks. We tried to show that diversity. We were able to get about 18 minutes of highlight cutups from AU football and then we had to cut it to the 6 minutes you see in the video. Ideally, you really want it no longer than about 3 minutes but after a while, we just get tired of working on it and stopped there. Lol. Thanks for watching and commenting.

…..It was torture to watch in 2012, because I knew we were watching good players. I know after watching Tre Mason only get 6 carries against Arkansas, I had no confidence in the coaching staff anymore. The guys have too much class to say so, but I’m sure they had to be feeling the same way.

…..Watching essentially the same team this year win the SEC was a huge treat, for me!

…..We’ll look forward to watching this weekend!

    • Jeff Holland Jeff Holland says:

Yeh, Acid, I know what you mean. I’m not sure I’ll ever really be able to logically piece together what happened in 2012. I mean, I know a lot and some of it I would never post about but it was just so many layers of reasons, it’s kinda hard to comprehend, really. Nonetheless, the leaders on the team got together and decided they were going to change it and bring the respect back to AU. With a new coach who embraced that, they were able to do that in a whole lot bigger fashion than I ever expected. It was so much fun to watch!
