#TETtailgate Week One Review
It’s hard to believe that the weekend has already flown by and we are in week two of college football. College football planners can be blamed for that as the stretching out of the holiday weekend, specifically with so many games across all those days, makes it easy to wake up Monday morning and wonder “what happened?”
But the weekend did happen and it was awesome.
Starting on Thursday morning, preparations were well underway for the 3rd Annual College Football Kick-Off at The Barn, our detached garage turned rec room turned Football Mecca that has it’s own Twitter handle, which you can follow.
The Boston Butts went into the smoker early Thursday morning after brining Tuesday and marinating in a dry rub for 24 hours Wednesday. The butts cooked at 170 degrees for around 60 hours and created a fall-off-the-bone, smokey, perfect mound of awesome pork.
Up early Saturday morning to watch ESPN Gameday, and Griffin, the middle child, was already in midseason form!
I had some scores to settle from all the “Roll Ducks Roll” and “Roll Tribe Roll” Alabama fans, so I decided to “Troll Tide” a little while I ran my errands.
One of the beauties of Alabama weather is that September means you can watch football while you swim. We had the local radio show come by The Barn and catch out the pool-side festivities.
As the early games rolled on, fans of a dozen teams teamed up for some corn hole.
Finally, food was served and this is only a small snippet of the wonderful food we enjoyed.
Eventually, the games were under way, and we enjoyed three games at the same time.
Well, that’s enough about me. How was your weekend? As we have done the last two years, I spent time going through your Instagram photos to see how other Auburn fans spent their game day. Those that use the hashtag #TETtailgate go to the head of the line! So, however you spend week two, make sure to tag me, tag Track ‘Em Tigers, and use #TETtailgate to get noticed!
Let’s start with gerrittkeaten who says “you need to bring your tailgating A-game!

Just because you can’t make it to Auburn, or maybe you are all the way in Los Angeles, doesn’t mean you can’t find your Auburn friends and watch the game, right aprilwhisenhant?
You can do the same thing in Nashville, just take jenniferhbradford’s lead.
Stinky’s in Auburn is anything but stinky. Doesn’t this make your mouth water?

Neither would the Southwest Florida club!
We had a wonderful premiere get together for the Southwest Florida Auburn Club. We expected less than 20, and almost 50 showed up to cheer on our Auburn Tigers!
