Reflections on Auburn Football and TET College Pick’em WEEK 11 Results

By on November 15th, 2016 in Football, News 8 Comments »

Week 12 is here, and things have unfolded in a nightmarish way to show who is likely to get to the championships. Finger pointing is running rampant again after the debacle of a game the Auburn Tigers played against a lesser Georgia Bulldog opponent.

After reading various comments from multiple sites, there is understandable anger, disappointment, and embarrassment. As for me, what happened has happened, and as frustrated and disappointed as I am, another opponent waits in the shadows and is ready to take its turn on the field.

I don’t think for one moment that fans take a disappointing loss harder than the coaches and players who are putting in the work everyday. They thought they would win, but they didn’t. They feel even worse than we do right now, except they have games to play and must motivate themselves to carry on.

They are counting on us not to abandon them because of losing a game. As an Auburn family member I will continue to support my coach, my team and cheer them to victory. There will be no hate rants against coaching, twitter rants about players, call outs for firing, or degrading the leadership from this fan.

I know where we’ve been, good and bad, I know where we are, and I know that the future is still bright on the Plains. Someone yesterday laughed at me when I wouldn’t condemn the coaching staff and players after the game. They joked I was “going down with the ship to the bitter end” and called me the ultimate homer. My response? “Well……..yeah, why wouldn’t I be? They are my family”.

Just something to keep in mind. War Eagle.
