TET College Pick’Em Results—WEEK 7

By on October 16th, 2018 in Football 2 Comments »

My, oh my, what has happened to our Auburn Tigers? Another disappointing loss came to our boys on the Plains, and right now this year’s season  is looking dismal. The Tigers will need some tough skin as many have lost confidence in their ability to end the season with a winning record. I, for one, still think they can pull themselves together and finish strong, but it will take some inner strength and determination not to let the outside distractions deter them.

I’ve seen some pretty nasty hate in comments across the web in regards to the team. Message boards are for venting and rightfully so, but there is no place for hateful comments against college kids who are simply playing a game (and remember that’s all it is) for their college and putting in the work, whether we like the outcome or not. So keep it civil and mature out there!

KJNolan4 is our new leader for the week with NY War Eagle falling to second and War Eagle son rounding out the top three. Below are the standings of the top 25.

It so happens that I just read an article written by “college kids” who definitely wanted to make some comments about what has been going on regarding their college’s football team, which happens to be the Auburn Tigers.

The article calls into question whether some highly-paid public servants (including Steven Leath and Gus Malzahn) are doing their jobs at Auburn University, in the best interest of Auburn University.

Some might call what they have to say, “nasty hate” … or, some such nonsense. Some may try to publicly shame the Auburn Plainsman Editorial Staff for hateful comments against other Auburn kids who are simply playing a game.

If you’re interested in reading a public job performance appraisal given by Auburn kids to the Auburn University President and to the Auburn Tiger Football Coach, I’ve provided a link below. I think that most folks would find the performance appraisals to be accurate and based on reality … and, I believe that most folks would find the language used by the Auburn kids to be civil and mature. WDE!

I don't think he means what they were doing at the Plainsman is nasty hate. It's not the articles that are raising questions, it's the comments on social media and places like al.com often by annoynomous posters that put out the hate – which can't do the players any good.
