Sunday’s NFL Action A Mixed Bag For Auburn Alumni

By on October 3rd, 2006 in Football Comments Off

There were plenty of highs and lows Sunday for former Auburn players in the NFL. Miami running back Ronnie Brown struggled on the ground, picking up only 49 yards on 12 carries. But through the air was a different story. Brown had 86 yards receiving in the Dolphins 17-15 loss to Houston.

Former All-American Carlos Rogers faired much better. The Redskins right cornerback made seven tackles in a 36-30 win over Jacksonville. Teammate and former Tiger Marcus Washington added four tackles from the linebacker position.

Sunday was a milestone for Bengals offensive tackle Willie Anderson. The former Tiger started his 100 consecutive game for Cincinnati. Anderson is in his 11th season in the NFL.
