Expect the SEC Champion Auburn Tigers to move up Sunday to the No.2 team in the country when the final BCS rankings come out. But before the announcement is made by the BCS, Acid Reign should have his game wrap up posted  here at Track ’em Tigers. So be sure to check back this afternoon  to see how he grades out the Tigers’ 59-42 win over Missouri.

War Eagle to all, and to all a good night!

P.S. Thanks, Sparty. We owe you one.

  3. War_Eagle_2010 War_Eagle_2010 says:

    Thank you Sparty!!!!!!!!!!!!

    War Eagle!!!!!

Time to show FSU something they haven’t seen all year… a team with a pulse!!!

    War Eagle!!!!!

What a blessed era of AU football.

  4. AUJTJarhead AUJTJarhead says:

The Gus Bus! All cylinders baby!

    War Eagle!

  5. broken_towel broken_towel says:

FSU is scary. Coach Johnson better get his boys straightened out. War Damn Sparty

  6. RunNThrow RunNThrow says:

Holy Thank the Good Lord! Sparty comes through! I wonder who that statue will be of if we FINISH! I like the thought of Mason and the stretch.

  7. wde1988 wde1988 says:

War Damn Eagle!!!! Tre Mason deserves the Heisman!!!!

  8. RunNThrow RunNThrow says:

Toomers as it should be! Just really … Thankful for our kids and totally FREAK’IN WOW!

  9. mvhcpa says:

    Wow. Just. Wow.

FSU offense scares me, but I don’t think there is a defense that can stop us unless we stop ourselves.

I hope we win, because I have some FSU acquaintances that are talking more trash than a landfill (and even more than the typical Bammer).

    Michael Val
(who is more than amazed at this team)

  10. Col.Angus Col.Angus says:

WHat a spectacular ride this has been! I am in no way saying that FSU won’t be a tremendous challenge, but Mizzou was exactly what FSU is but with a senior QB and a much harder schedule.
Our defense may nor dominate but our offense dominates enough for both sides. Everybody knows we are going to run the ball down their throat and THEY STILL can’t stop us. Truly Amazing!!!
I am so proud of our Tigers!
    War Eagle!!!
    Pasadena Here We Come!!!

  11. War_Eagle_2010 War_Eagle_2010 says:

Hopefully the seniors who were here in 2010 will be able to provide guidance to this team as they prepare for the game in a month. That’s a big advantage for AU. Big.

  12. PortCouncil PortCouncil says:

From my Auburn adorned study in cozy Fayette County Ga I say to you brethren tonight, War Eagle! What Auburn has done this year is, in my graciously humble eyes, a metaphor of life.

What we feel as Auburn men and women (looking at you Sand Mountain) is different than the joy that fans of other schools (or pro franchises) feel. We love Auburn; the town, the school, the family, first. We love the football team so much because it represents Auburn.

I read every article and comment on this site on a daily basis, but post rarely. Just thought I’d throw this out there… I love you all! War Eagle!

  13. WDErichie WDErichie says:

I got to storm the field after beating Bama last week!!! I got to watch us win the SEC Championship and see Sparty beat Ohio State today!!! It’s soooooo great to be an Auburn Tiger!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Pine Mt Tiger Pine Mt Tiger says:

Yes it’s great to be an Auburn Tiger – and it’s great to have Gus Malzahn as our coach! WDE !!!

  14. au_tigger_n_NOLA says:

War Damn Eagle Indeed! And thank you Holy Jesus! Bring on the Crimenoles! It will be worth having to listen all season that LSU beat us to just beat FSU and have the Bammers know that we have the crystal football they so coveted!

  15. au_tigger_n_NOLA says:

Çorrect me if I’m wrong…but I think Bama doesn’t even get to taste Sugar.(Mizzou does?)

    • Col.Angus Col.Angus says:

Alabama will go to the sugar…they were BCS bound regardless. The OSU loss put them in the Sugar as the SEC rep. Mizzou will go to the Cap 1 bowl, don’t seem right does it?

Of course, some dunces….check that… Just one fool, Lou Holtz, actually tried to advance the argument that Bama should be the the #2 team since “they went toe to toe with Auburn on the road and lost on the last play.” Lou, you ignorant turd, your statement intimates that Auburn was the better team, and still won…. But they should get leapfrogged by a team they just beat? After they beat another top 5 team in Mizzou?? I know Lou is a fool, but that is the height of stupidity, even for him.

      • Tiger on the mountain Tiger on the mountain says:

I agree. If you make it to the SEC Champ game, then you should be tasting sugar. Especially because many Bams won’t appreciate it. But, whatevs. It’s got to be miserable to be fans like they are. It’s Great to be an Auburn Tiger!

  16. Tiger on the mountain Tiger on the mountain says:

So I’ve had a little sleep to digest this– honestly, it’s still a bit unbelievable. However, that maligned LSU game told us more than we realized about this team. In that game, Auburn had every reason to give up, had every reason to let last year’s bugaboos creep back in……yet, they ignored all of that and kept fighting. THEY KEPT FIGHTING!!!! I knew this team would be special because of that……I wish I could tell you that based on the LSU game, I knew this was coming……um, no. I knew we had a shot in every game! But this???? No way! But these Tigers kept working, kept executing, and as a result we’re heading to the motherfreaking BCS MNC game! WOW !!

Something I’ve relearned this season is to have fun watching football. Now, I was in rare form for the Arky game, pretty much lost my s**t during the 4th q of the Georgia game……but all meant, those victories however awesome, were spoiled with vitriol. I can honestly tell you, I enjoyed the hell out of the Iron bowl! I was relaxed, like chillin’, during the second half of the SEC Champ game. (Tip of the hat to Mizzou…..very fine team! I suspect that they will rule the a East for a while). Come what may, I’m going to enjoy the hell out of the BCS MNC game! It’s great to be an Auburn Tiger! War Eagle!!!

    • allanonj allanonj says:

Pardon my ignorance, what does the M in MNC stand for?
I’ve seen it before but didn’t think to ask.

          • Tiger on the mountain Tiger on the mountain says:

This will be the last year of the use of “mythical”…as we are headed for playoffs. Granted only four spots (probs, minimal controversy, amirite!?)….but it will be more legitimate than speculation over who will kick who’s arse.

          • Acid Reign Acid Reign says:

…..There’ll still be controversy on who gets into the playoffs. Mark my word. Hey, are y’all doing ok up there in the frozen tundra of Montana? Sounds miserable. I dealt with the I-285/I-20 mess in the rain this morning, but I’ll bet that’s trivial, in comparison to negative temps.Hang in there! And War Eagle!

          • Tiger on the mountain Tiger on the mountain says:

Well, we are in South Dakota now….weather is worse. It was warmer today with a high of 11. Seriously, it felt warmer. Yesterday it was -1 for most of the day. We got some snow today, so we bundled up our little tigers and got everyone out of the house for a bit. We only picked up a couple of inches–the cold makes the flakes incredibly small. This is the coldest Dec we have had yet…doesn’t bode well for February, that’s for skippy…….tomorrow’s high is 8 and I believe we have several below zero nights coming. Time to plug in the cars and hunker down….hopefully, we will be back in the 20s by the end of the week.

    • WarEagleAtlanta WarEagleAtlanta says:

If you go back and read my post-LSU post, you’ll see that I said this team was bond for greatness.

Even I didn’t see this much greatness though.

  17. War Eagle Girl War Eagle Girl says:

I never saw this coming. I can not tell you how proud I am of these young men and their story of redemption! He told them at fall practice that they had a chance to redeem themselves and that’s just what they did. All the rest of this is gravy.

I lived out in So Calif for 4 years so I am definitely looking forward to going to this game!! I thought I would never see this again in my lifetime but here we are. Could the crystal football stay in the state of Alabama for 5 years straight?

This has been a magical season and it’s GREAT to be an Auburn Tiger!! #GusDelorean #MarshallPlan

  18. au_tigger_n_NOLA says:

Oh great…..I have the Updykes coming to my neighborhood again? They’ll pawn the trailer title again so they can afford it. Warning to all stay sober or stay away from Krystal on Bourbon!

  19. Third Generation Tiger Third Generation Tiger says:

I’ve got the feeling that this is just the beginning of a very, very special era of Auburn football.

    • restless6 says:

I think you’re right. I’m excited for the coming dominance. It should be fun to watch what these Tigers do over the next few years.

  20. MyAuburn MyAuburn says:

I was at the game. It was the first I had attended this year and I deeply regret not going to more. Last night was unbelievable, from start to finish. Stay tuned, after witnessing what I just say I will have a post up in a day or two about just how good this team is. Preview:Scary good
    Look out Noles, we coming.

    • WarEagleAtlanta WarEagleAtlanta says:

Acid and I were up there with Derrick and your wives waiting on you. Sorry it took you awhile to find that program.

      • MyAuburn MyAuburn says:

Sorry I missed you guys. Ga Dome employees had no idea where to go for a program. Pretty lame program after all that and $10 was outrageous.

        • Acid Reign Acid Reign says:

……I gave up on programs years ago. It’s all on the internet, anyway. I basically copy both teams’ rosters, paste it into Word, reduce it all to a 6 point font, and print it out and carry it in.

……And chances are if I actually went to the game, I’ve obsessed over it so much that I know the main players’ numbers without pulling the roster out.

    • SandMountainTiger SandMountainTiger says:

Any of you gus see me tooling around in my Auburn painted up Vietnam era steel pot helmet?

  21. restless6 says:

Lou Holtz is a certified idiot and Auburn hater. He ranks Bam at 2 even though were champions.

I hate that slobbering idiot along with Pawwl and Sheridan and Thamel. All of them are biased and haters.

    • Acid Reign Acid Reign says:

…..We watched a bit of gameday with Finebaum. He was trolling the Bammers, this time around, for a change. Pretty funny. He said that he wouldn’t pick the Denver Broncos over Auburn, right now. Still don’t like him…
