Other Coaching Moves in the South Eastern Conference…

By on January 18th, 2013 in Member Post Comments Off

Well now. Isn’t this an interesting situation.

It’s being reported in several circles that there are some other potential changes to the SEC landscape.

NFL Philadelphia Eagles:  Reportedly Chip Kelly has targeted two Defensive Coordinators from the SEC to fill his vacant position.  Georgia’s Todd Grantham and Alabama’s Kirby Smart.

It might just be me, but Smart was considered for several coaching vacancies… including ours.  I am starting to wonder if he is damaged goods.

Either way, some big name team may be starting over again at defensive coordinator position.  I don’t think it would hurt bama as much as it would the leg humpers.  We have already robbed them of Rodney Garner.  Since this is a bit of speculating on my part… I wonder if UGA would offer Garner the DC position if Grantham departed for the NFL?

As you know there are some changes that occurred already.  I mentioned in an earlier post Florida’s situation and status with Quinn.  I am hearing as well that Arkansas’s Bielema has already lost a member of his staff.  Wow.  That didn’t take long.  Wide receivers coach George McDonald resigned and took a promotion to be Syracuse’s offensive coordinator. Hmm. I wonder if all is well for sooie pig?

It never is boring in the SEC…

War Eagle!
