You guys may remember, a few months backs, we were reminiscing about a couple of the All-Time Great Blues Players: Albert King & Jimmy Reed.

Well, it turns out that a pretty good blues player, in his own right, will be in Savannah, GA at the Savannah Civic Center on 02/25/17.

If you’re interested, here’s the info:

Believe me, this guy is well worth seeing. Great musician. Fabulous band.

And, he could play the blues guitar so well at 13 yrs-old even John Lee Hooker and B.B. King took notice.

Here he is singing that Albert King Classic with the “Flying V” guitar:

Here he is performing with Beth Hart:

Here he is at 13 yrs-old:

Enjoy & Merry Christmas!

Thanks Zotus. I have an out of town quail hunting date that weekend that I have already made a deposit on but I do appreciate you thinking of me. I really enjoyed all the links and especially the Jane Pauly piece on Bonamassa. Boy could he make it smoke, even at 12-13, very impressive!

Merry Christmas to you & yours!

…..Great stuff! I was listening while watching the Auburn BB game, today. Mercer gave us all we wanted, to be sure! Crazy ending. Mercer up by a point, Auburn to inbound with 3 seconds left, needing to take the ball 94 feet.

…..And the inbounds pass was fumbled, and Mustapha Heron fell down, trying to secure the ball at midcourt. Auburn got the timeout, with 1.4 seconds left. Heron had to inbound it, and Mercer put a seven footer guarding the inbounds. I though Heron was going to run out of time!

…..Finally Heron lobbed it over, to T. J. Dunnans, who spun away from a defender, falling backwards, and lofted a nothing but net three-pointer as the clock hit 0.00! Auburn won, 74-72!
