Philip Lutzenkirchen and Cory Lemonier continue to rack up preseason honors. Just last week both Auburn players made the Coaches’ All-SEC First Team. And today the two were named to their second preseason watch list when the list for the Lombardi Award was released

Lutzenkirchen was also named last week to the John Mackey Award Watch List, which goes to the best tight end in college football while Lemonier was named to the Bronko Nagurski Trophy Watch List, which goes to the nation’s top defensive player.

The Lombardi Trophy Award goes to the nation’s top college lineman or linebacker. The last Auburn player to win the award was Nick Fairley in 2010.
