Lasso LSU! (Auburn at LSU Open Thread)
A soggy Tiger Stadium awaits today
War Eagle, everybody! This afternoon Auburn will take on the LSU Tigers in an important game in the SEC West. Auburn needs this game to stay in the SEC West race while LSU needs to win it to stay unbeaten and keep pace with Alabama. Neither team will be mathematically eliminated with a loss today, and LSU could still win the division by winning its remaining games. If Auburn were to lose, it would have to count on LSU and Alabama each losing 2 of those schools’ remaining games.
This game will kick off at 2:30 PM, Central Time. The game will be televised on CBS. Those attending the game should expect partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the mid to upper 60’s. There is a chance of a shower in the first half, but we expect the rain to have moved north by kickoff. Current radar before 9:00 AM shows all rain has moved out of Louisiana and into Mississippi and Alabama. The sun might even break out and temps will move up to 70º F if it does.
Today marks 20 years since Auburn won a game in Baton Rouge, an incredible streak. All streaks come to an end at some point. Let’s hope LSU’s good fortune in this series ceases today!
As always, feel free to join in and enjoy this thread. I will at the keyboard all day, observing and enjoying another college football Saturday. I’ll have the play by play for the entirety of this one. War Eagle!
