Gus Malzahn finished rounding out his Coaching Staff and he did it with a flourish.

Today AU hired the last assistant coach in the Auburn Football Coaching Staff. Tight Ends Coach Tim Horton, yes that is right, former Arkansas running back and recently the running back coach at his Alma Mater has agreed to come to AU.

Guess what? His other additional duty was recruiting coordinator at Arkansas.

Head Coach: Gus Malzahn

Offensive Coordinator: Rhett Lashlee

Co-Offensive Coordinator: Dameyune Craig

Tight End Coach: Tim Horton

Offensive Line Coach: J B Grimes

Special Teams and Running Backs Coach: Rich Bisaccia

Defensive Coordinator: Ellis Johnson

Co-Defensive Coordinator and Defensive Backs Coach: Charlie Harbison

Defensive Line Coach: Rodney Garner

Defensive Cornerbacks Coach: Melvin Smith

Strength and Conditioning Coach: Ryan Russell

I know what you’re thinking… who is the linebacker coach? I don’t know. Perhaps the news is premature. I know Tracey Rocker’s name has been tossed around a lot… but on that note we will have to wait and see.

  1. Malakai Malakai says:

I think if Rocker were coming back to Auburn he would have said so before now.

  2. KoolBell KoolBell says:

Ellis Johnson will coach the Linebacker spot. Horton completes the staff for Auburn. NCAA only allows 9 coaches.

To say we have the best staff in the SEC now is premature, but on paper, these guys should rock. Most of them know each other, which is a huge plus chemistry wise.
