Keegan Thompson has been named the SEC Pitcher of the Week. The honor came after the junior’s win over Lipscomb this weekend. The league office made the announcement Monday morning.

The right-hander pitched a shutout, only allowed one hit, struck out five batters and retired the final 12 batters he faced before leaving the game in  the seventh inning.

Thompson has the longest streak for an Auburn pitcher since 2007  with 21.0 consecutive scoreless innings. And, he has helped Auburn lead the nation in shutouts with five. He has a 0.00 ERA through three starts and has not allowed an earned run in his last 24.1 innings pitched. Congrats to Keegan and …

War Eagle!
