Auburn’s Jared Harper has garnered another SEC Freshman of the Week award as the league office made the announcement today in recognition of his play against Alabama and Tennessee. It was the Atlanta native’s second selection this season.

The point guard had two rebounds and a steal against the Vols while hitting five three throws and  scoring 21 points last week in the Arena. Against Alabama, he scored 21 points, hitting 7 of 10  three pointers to help the Tigers defeat the Tide twice in the same season for the first time since 2009.
The Tigers’ 82–77  win in Tuscaloosa tied Auburn with No. 19 South Carolina for the most road wins (5) this season. The Tigers will  host Mississippi State Tuesday in an 8:00 pm CT game on ESPNU.

Congrats to Jared for a well deserved honor!
