It’s time for a pep talk!

kid_president_pep_talk_tOkay, imagine if you will that you are poking around the stadium on Iron Bowl day trying to find the nearest bathroom. You push on this door that is unmarked which leads into a corridor and to another door. Pushing on that door you find yourself in the midst of the 2015 Auburn Tigers team.

Unannounced all eyes turn to you. Apparently all the coaches are out of the area doing pregame coaching stuff and you have 20 seconds until security arrives to address the team and give them a pep talk. You clear your throat and say…

I know an Iron Bowl win won’t heal our season, but it will go a long way in soothing the pain until we figure this football thing out. A win will mean that the cupboard is not bare and that we are dealing with an issue of consistency rather than lack of talent and ability.

So to get the positive mojo back into our fan base, leave a positive pep talk below and assume that maybe a few players might read it (it helps if you imagine ‘Eye of the Tiger’ playing in your head).

WDE and beat bama!!!

  1. Tigerstripe Tigerstripe says:

“Guys listen, when you win it doesn’t mean that you did everything right and when you lose it doesn’t mean you did everything wrong. It means you did enough. Fight each play to be the best “you” that “you” can be. Wasn’t that why you came to Auburn?

You have a gift and you are using that gift to determine the path of your future. No matter what your future is (NFL or bank teller) you must fight everyday to win the day. You have a great team in front of you and to be honest, I wish that they were tougher team than they are because there’s no value in beating teams that you are suppose to beat but there is true victory in beating teams that you’re not supposed to beat.

You are the underdog today to everyone outside this stadium not wearing blue and orange but to us, you are going to show our baby brother who runs this state! Now get your s**t together and beat the p**s out of the guy across from you wearing that God-awful red helmet!!!

You remember him, he was the one everyone was talking about in high school while you were working hard in the weight room and puking your guts out running bleachers. He needs to understand what a real man looks like – AN AUBURN MAN!!!”

  2. Tiger Tiger says:

    Hey Stripe, that’s pretty good!

I didn’t out a speech for the team, but if I had, I’d throw in a quote by Deacon Jones:

“Remember one thing: Every man or woman is free to rise to the heights to which they are willing and able, but it is ONLY to the degree to which you think and believe, that will determine the degree to which you will rise!!!”

  3. wde1988 wde1988 says:

    Lol, that’s good!

  4. Orangeblood says:

Tigers …, do you know the 45% Rule. The Tider’s hate us because they have not won against us like the have the rest of the SEC teams.
We have won 45% of the Iron Bowls. You can win this game, go out there give 110% , play assignment football and execute. Then, We will win another one. And remember….” its great to be an Auburn Tiger “

  5. spanky says:

I would like you all to think for a minute about the game you are about. Regardless of what this season brings, this is the Iron Bowl. This is biggest rivalry and greatest game of the football season. Auburn legend and lore is made during this game. This is Auburn, go give us stories to tell for generations to come.

  6. easyedwin easyedwin says:

“In the 2009 Iron Bowl their coach said to national tv at half time ‘we’re tryin’ to survive a $hit storm here’. Let us give him his $hit storm in spades. Stay on your task, hold your blocks, fly to the football and win this for your mothers.”
