First Travel to Auburn

By on April 17th, 2013 in Member Post 4 Comments »

Greetings, Everyone!

On Friday, my wife, daughter, and I will be leaving North AL and heading down for A-Day!!!  It will be my first trip to Auburn… ever.

I want to ask all of you alums and fans on here what I should see and where I should go.  We are total and complete newbies when it comes to this.  So, no recommendations will be taken lightly.  Where to park the car?  Where to use the bathroom?  It doesn’t matter, fire away!

…..I’m glad you asked! There’s a ton of info on the Auburn website, here:

…..There’s parking info and maps, and events listed. Lots of useful links! If you don’t do ANYTHING else, try to visit the Auburn Arena before the game. There’s an AMAZING Auburn sports museum inside, with lots of memorabilia. I’m planning on going back through it Saturday morning myself! It’s right across the street from the stadium. Auburn usually has a lot of activities set up in that area, also.

…..Rest rooms aren’t a problem on campus. They have porto-let trailers set up all over the place on gamedays. And Jordan Hare Stadium is one of the few venues I’ve seen that actually has an adequate number of facilities.

…..I’d also recommend a trip up to the northeast corner of the campus, to see Toomer’s Corner. Last chance to see the oaks!
