“Fired up for Onterio! War Eagle!”

By on February 24th, 2013 in Football, News 2 Comments »

The title above is a Twitter quote by Auburn Head Coach Gus Malzahn as he watched Onterio McCalebb almost set NFL Combine history today in the 40 yard dash.

McCalebb was clocked with an unofficial time of 4.21 seconds, which is three one-hundredths of a second less than the record set by Chris Johnson in 2008.

However, later on the official time came out at 4.34 which put Onterio in 2nd place. It was still an impressive and blistering pace. Readers can watch the video of his run below.

We knew he was fast. Now the NFL knows he’s fast. I hope they use his speed well!

Like many of you I’ve always hoped the NFL could find a place for our speedy light-weight. War Eagle Onterio!
