Just when I thought this idiot was off the air.. look at this…
now 97.3 The Zone is gonna pick him up… Just when I thought We finally had a legit Sport Radio Network.

Oh well, It’s still great to be an Auburn Tiger. WDE

    • Tiger on the mountain Tiger on the mountain says:

At least he’s gone for 3 months!

    • Third Generation Tiger Third Generation Tiger says:

As long as Updykes exist there will be an audience for scumbag.

      • cmeek says:

Has anyone put any real thought to intelligent pay back for Mr. Updyke? What could we do that would consistently embarrass him and at the same time motivate our football team? Name the locker room after him? Name the home team bathrooms after him? Can u name urinals at a stadium? Remove “Men’s room” and replace it with “Updyke Urinals” ? Ideas?

        • Acid Reign Acid Reign says:

…..I think the ideal reward for Mr. Updyke is for everyone to forget him. Yeah, he had his moment of fame for his infamous deed. Now, we can forget him, and let him rot in the decrepit Alabama mental health system. Forgotten, and alone.

  2. Acid Reign Acid Reign says:

…..Should be interesting. 97.3 has a pretty weak signal. Finebaum won’t be able to reach those listeners stuck in traffic on US 280 in Shelby County.

…..Kudos to the Roundtable guys, who deserve their shot at a drive-time show. I figure Cumulus will stick some national CBS or Fox radio show on the noon slot, and save money.

  3. mikeautiger says:

First he would have to climb out of coach Satan’s butt before he could get the job kissing it. Finebaum has no character, he says what ever he can just to stir things up no matter who it hurts or if it is true or not, and he is a pompas as who thinks he knows it all and could not find his way out of a wet paper sack. He is a slimebaum. After figuring out what he was all about, which took about 30 seconds, he comes on the air and I turn it to a real sports caster. Nice to free up jox time for a real show.

  4. DBAU81 says:

Finebaum is a businessman first, an entertainer second, and, on rare occasions, a journalist third. He’s primarily interested in what’s good for him, and there’s nothing wrong with that. These days in Alabama, that means sucking up to Saban and the Tide. I remember a time not so long ago when Bama was struggling and
Finebaum was reviled by the Bama fans much as he is by Auburn fans now. Currently, he promotes the Alabama viewpoint because he’s riding the Tide’s coat tails to more prominence for himself. If he was a radio talk show host in Des Moines talking about Iowa football nobody would give a damn who he was or what he had to say. We Auburn fans who can’t stand him should just listen to something else whenever he returns to the airwaves. Or, at the very least, we should keep in mind the old adage from “The Godfather”: it’s nothing personal, it’s just business.
