Emotional Game

By on October 12th, 2014 in Member Post 2 Comments »

I didn’t think MSU could overcome the high of the previous week. I was wrong. The Bullies played lights out offense for  the first 12 minutes and their defense played strong for 60 minutes. However, there were numerous holding calls that went “unnoticed ” on the home team.

That said, look at this Auburn team. They did not give up in a hostile environment with everything going wrong. I look at the box score and see that if we play them even the the 1st quarter we win by 6. That is fight.

Outcome: Sucked

Future: Bright… if we learn from mistakes (we have a lot of learning yet to do).

It is still great to be an Auburn Tiger!

Good post … My sentiments exactly.

…..They generally aren’t calling holding this year. We got one on Shon Coleman, but he was out in space in plain view, and hooked a forearm around an end to prevent a free run at Marshall. That’s the only penalty on the Auburn line the entire game. MSU had several false starts, and they got Wilson, the tight end on one hold.

…..I thought the offensive PI was garbage, and so was the interference call on Jonathan Jones in the end zone. But bad calls happen. We didn’t lose the game because of the refs.
