Disappointing But….

By on January 7th, 2014 in Member Post 6 Comments »

All during this incredible year, the Auburn Tigers have been compared to Cinderella. Many have suggested that some sort of “football” fairy godmother was responsible for our wins over Georgia and Alabama rather than our players’ hard work, which is the real fairy tale. However, if we did want to continue the analogy, Cinderella wasn’t crowned Queen at the ball. When the clock struck midnight, she left in tears, and she left her glass slipper behind for the prince to find and remember her by.

In the same way, these Auburn Tigers had the clock strike midnight last night. But, we left a reminder behind as well. The college football world can’t forget us now. And, we will be back very soon, to be crowned national champions, and there won’t be any mention of luck or miracles. Oh yes, we’re coming! And, it’s always great to be an Auburn Tiger!

…..I agree! I think Shon Coleman will step up to replace Greg Robinson, and we’ll probably see Fulse and Uzomah on the field at the same time to replace Jay Prosch. This offense will keep rolling on the ground, AND Lashlee, Craig and Malzhan will have a whole 8 months to work on the passing game with Nick Marshall. Also, we’re pretty loaded on defense with a veteran front seven…

When the team arrived back in Auburn, Gus said they would be back playing for a NC. It would be nice if the Tigers can make this an annual event.

The thing is Gus not only feels they will be back, but he will get his team believing they will be back, and this time the outcome will be different.
