Dear Santa, I want it ALL!!!

What did Santa drop off at your house?

All the gifts are wrapped, and the living room looks like Santa had a head-on collision with the Christmas Tree. Winnie has some Orange and Blue under the tree, and I am sure there is some for me as well. It is that time of year when I open a thread so everyone at TET can tell what they got for Christmas.

Share what cool things you got for Christmas. It is more fun when you share the excitement with your closest friends like the folks here at TET.

War Eagle and Merry Christmas

I got a new shirts, jeans, pants, and the usual underwear and socks. Best of all though I got a new Auburn pullover sweatshirt.

As to the title of this article above “What I want for Christmas”- I want a big blowout victory over Wisconsin in the Outback Bowl and a big rise for Auburn in the polls. And in 2015, “I want it all” for Auburn: West, SEC, and Natty! War eagle!

I’m a long-sleeve kinda guy, so delighted with two shirts – one orange and one blue, both with AU logo on the pocket.
Hopin’ for a good win over Wisconsin – hard to forget last time we played – and a good rebuild for 2015 with the M&M Boom boys leading the way.
Merry Christmas to all and a happy New Year.

  3. domaucan1 domaucan1 says:

It would be great to get that crystal football back home in the Lovliest Village, where it belongs. With the M&M coaches, who knows? We just may get a shot. We’ll have quite a few holes to fill in 2015 but we did in 2013 also. I got an addition to my growing collection of Auburn ornaments with Santa hanging from an Auburn helicopter. I have every piece from 2007 to 2014. We’ll open gifts after dinner. There may be more orange and blue for me.
    Always remember, win or lose:
IT’S GREAT TO BE AN AUBURN TIGER !!!
    WAR EAGLE !!!
    GO BIG BLUE !!!
    BADGER THE BADGERS !!!

…..Our Christmas morning was a bit muted. The stomach bug has struck, and half the family isn’t feeling well. I’m huddled up with hand sanitizer and Lysol spray, and hoping to dodge this illness!

…..My only Auburn loot was a very strange sock-monkey puppet with an Auburn logo on it. It’s stretchy, and you can hook two fingers into the arms, and slingshot the thing across the room. My cats hunt it and pounce on it every time I fire it… Truly odd. It’s a “Gameday Outfitters Spirit Monkey,” or so the label says. And it actually has an “officially licensed” seal on it. War Eagle!

…..After my aging desktop computer setup failed during the Iron Bowl, I’m back up in my cubicle, off the laptop, and better than ever! I got a new 23 inch Lenovo flat screen monitor, and an Azio backlit gaming keyboard to replace the cheap $10 one I accidentally spilled coffee in. And last but not least, a new office chair. I was using an old antique wood chair with one of those tie-on Bed Bath and Beyond seat cushions. The new Edge chair rolls, swivels, reclines and the arms will swing up out of the way for guitar playing! I should be all set for a great Outback Bowl live thread!

…..More miscellany included two pairs of Levi 517 boot cut jeans, one black and one blue. I can’t fit my thighs and calves into regular straight leg 505’s unless I get the waist a couple of inches too big… I’ve got some Amazon mad money now. I also got a light-up Krispy Kreem keepsake ornament. One of the more interesting gifts was a silicone ice tray that makes huge, almost as wide as the glass ice cubes. Should add an interesting twist to my Club-400 Scoreboard updates! Although, I’ll likely be on coffee during the whole Outback. It’s an early game on New Year’s Day.

…..Left to my own devices for Christmas morning breakfast, I had Higher Ground Black Warrior roast coffee, a couple of Publix spinach and feta chicken sausages, two fried eggs, a sliced tomato w/garlic salt, and a couple of Krispy Kreem glazed donuts. I’ve been hitting the chex mix all morning, too. I also fixed a couple of hot toddy/Theraflu cocktails for the ill ones in the family.

The Acid Reign home office is the TET nerve center during football season. Very thankful Santa updated it for you.

Didn’t know you were a donut man. I am too. In fact, I’ve never met a donut I didn’t like!

    • MyAuburn MyAuburn says:

I am a donut fan myself but not as big as Mrs. MyAuburn. For Winnies 50th birthday she got 50 shares of Krispy Kreem stock. The stock certificate looks exactly like the top of the box and is nicely framed and hanging in the house.

      • Acid Reign Acid Reign says:

…..We used to fix Pillsbury cinnamon rolls out of the can for Christmas morning, and they’d hardly get touched. One year, we got in a hurry and just set out a couple dozen glazed KK’s. And those were devoured! I had to make the KK run yesterday morning. Got a dozen glazed, and another dozen mixed of various lemon or chocolate fills. We’ve got leftovers this year, thanks to the stomach bug.

  5. AubTigerman AubTigerman says:

Merry Christmas to you Bill! I got a new hunting hat, pocket knife, and best of all – Tickets to the Outback bowl!

    • MyAuburn MyAuburn says:

I was going to the Outback Bowl but have a trip to Orlando that would overlap and just can’t take that much time away from work, at least not yet. Still working on that retirement thing. Lets work on a couple of bird hunting trips in late Jan. early Feb

      • Acid Reign Acid Reign says:

…..That should be an interesting trip. I’ve been through Tampa several times, but never stayed.

      • AubTigerman AubTigerman says:

Sounds good to me. But need to give me some dates asap as I’m already booked most weekends Jan.- Mar. But if I know soon enough, I can drop a date or two.

    • ATL_AU_FAN ATL_AU_FAN says:

      Paul —

Hit me up at the Outback Bowl – I will send you my cell via email – Would be GREAT to meet in person.

I also have two extra tix to the Tent Village (with free food and beverages) prior to the game that I will give to you.

      Grant

  6. MyAuburn MyAuburn says:

Merry Christmas to all. Winnie was perplexed at a package that was labeled To:Winnie…From:Gus. It was a new Auburn hooded sweatshirt and pants.
I also got a new AU sweatshirt and Cupcake the Cocker Spaniel got an Auburn sweater for those cold tailgating days.
I guess the best thing is I got the go ahead to buy season tickets for next year and approval to spend all the money needed to get good seats. Also plan to buy a travel trailer and leave it at an RV park in Auburn. When I get it set up it can be a regular meeting place for any TET member that wants to stop by and ride the shuttle to the game.
I went to waaaay too many family funerals this year including Winnies Mom and Dad, two employees and my best golfing buddy. .
I am hoping next year will bring no funerals, a Natty and a monumental beatdown of Bammer.

  7. wareagle3020 wareagle3020 says:

I got FAMILY for Christmas. Took the kids to texas for a “texas christmas” with my folks! It’s been great and beats anything I could wrap in a box!!! War eagle….beat up on those badgers!!!!

  8. AUglenn says:

I got a complete Auburn gear. AU shirt, hat, and sweater vest. I’m ready for the Outback Bowl. I’ll be watching it at a buddy’s house but that’s ok, I’ll still be in my orange and blue Jan.1st.

  9. ATL_AU_FAN ATL_AU_FAN says:

The better half and I didn’t exchange gifts this year other than new additions to our Wusthof knives. Of course, the kids received gifts as did the one grand-daughter – yes, I’m growing older but not growing up.

Instead of “gifts” we have renewed our Scholarship season tickets (which have increased in price), are attending the Outback Bowl and then, at the end of January, making the trek to Arizona for the Super Bowl with the remainder of that week spending time in Flagstaff and taking the train to the Grand Canyon as well as visiting other tourist spots in that area.

So, I guess all of this can be considered our “Christmas”.

As far as Auburn related “gear” we buy enough during the season so don’t really need anything. I will admit, however, of being envious of domaucan1 for the collection of ornaments!

As to what I “want”? Well, let’s start with health and happiness as we lost my father-in-law, a sister-in-law and a very good friend this past year. Otherwise, a big win in the Outback Bowl and then a great 2015 with the Legion of Boom at the helm!

    War Eagle to you all!!

  10. mvhcpa says:

I just got a few things I hate to go out and get myself (and in which my family has better taste)–some dress/casual shirts and a nice navy blue sweater vest (for better Auburn dressing on semi-cold days).

The Auburn swag usually comes from my wife’s sister and her husband (UGA fans)–since we were at my folks’ this year, we’ll have Christmas with my wife’s family this Saturday–I’m hoping for a replacement of the Auburn belt that gave up the ghost this year.

Of course, I am thankful for the great comraderie with all staff and readers here at TET–that’s a gift that keeps giving ALL year long!

    Michael Val
(who wishes everyone a MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR!)

Sounds like everyone got some great loot. I got a Mr. Heater Portable Buddy Propane Heater. I will be the most popular mom on the sidelines at lacrosse games this winter!
    Happy New Year.
