After Auburn blew out the No.  1 ranked Georgia Bulldogs last Saturday, the College Football Playoff Committee moved the Tigers to No. 6 in the CFP standings. The Top 10 ranking makes Auburn one of several teams trying to move up into the final four or at the least become eligible for a top-tier bowl.

However, Coach Malzahn has said the Tigers are not looking ahead, focusing instead this week on Louisiana Monroe. Malzahn said the goal is not to lose the momentum in this game before heading into the Iron Bowl. As Acid Reign mentioned in his game preview, Auburn needs to take care of business and get out of the game without injuries and with a win that doesn’t hurt the team’s standing in the playoff race. Kickoff will be at 11:00 a.m. CT and will be broadcast by ESPN2.

Although LA Monroe has not had a good year, its passing attack has the Warhawks ranked in the top 20 in total offense and scoring. And, they have one of the best wide receivers in All-Sun-Belt return man Marcus Green. Kick coverage has been a sore spot for the Tigers, and Green should provide them a chance to work on improvement.

Those attending the game will enjoy perfect football weather. The forecast calls for a breezy day with temps hovering around the mid to high 60’s. For those who will watch the game on television, we have prepared our regular broadcast schedule of all games leading up to and after Auburn’s game with LA Monroe.

Game times are Central Standard, and all SEC games as well as those involving Top 25 teams are underlined. Games on ESPN/ABC can be viewed by clicking here and games on ESPN3 can be viewed by clicking on this link.

Acid Reign will be back doing his regular play-by-play and will have his Open Thread up Saturday. So why not check back here during the game and join him in the discussion as the game unfolds. War Eagle and …
