BREAKING NEWS: LSU Fires Head Coach Les Miles

Less than 24 hours after losing a nail biter to the Auburn Tigers, 18–13, Ross Dellenger of the Baton Rouge Advocate has reported the firing of head coach Les Miles and offensive coordinator Cam Cameron. Multiple sources have confirmed the firing.
Miles, who led the Tigers to three SEC West titles, two SEC championships and one national title, leaves in the beginning of his 12th season as the LSU Tigers continue to struggle to start the season.
Ed Orgeron was reported to be taking the position of interim head coach. Speculation will now begin as to who will replace Miles for the Bengal Tigers and how long the search will take.
Gotta guess they wanted to be first in line for Herman.
Scout.com sources have said that LSU has already contacted both Herman and Briles to see if there is interest in the vacancy.
…..Would Herman take it? There will be other offers. Les has the second best record in the SEC over the last 10 years, and LSU fired him. Meanwhile, Houston can run roughshod over its current competition, and there are some deep pockets there in coastal Texas who can pony up.
USC has been mentioned as a major contender for Herman.
I’ll miss Miles. He seems like a good man whose time was up in the cut throat world of college football. He’ll land on his feet. What was his buyout? LOL!
