The Auburn Equestrian team won its fifth National Championship Saturday. The Tigers did it by dominating rival Georgia 10–5. It was the program’s second National Collegiate Equestrian Association Championship title in the last three years.

Caitlin Boyle was named the Most Outstanding Performer for the championship in Fences, and freshman Taylor St. Jacques was NCEA’s Outstanding Performer in Flat.

“It’s always wonderful to win a national championship, but it was also very nerve-wracking,” said coach Greg Williams. “They came here ready to ride, the whole team did.”

And what’s particularly great is the Tigers will have almost every team member back to ride for another  title in 2019.
