Allyx Purcell Named SEC Swimmer of the Week for 2nd Time

Auburn Swimming and DivingFor the second time in two weeks Auburn’s Allyx Purcell has bee named the Southeastern Conference Women’s Swimmer of the Week. She has been dominating the competition this season. The Auburn Freshman has won seven races.

Her biggest achievement may have come in North Carolina at Queens University at the Royals Open against world class competition where she defeated Olympian and former Auburn swimmer Arianna Vanderpool-Wallace.

Purcell has been an important reason the Tigers are  currently 3-0 on the season. The Tigers return to action on Friday, Nov. 8 at Auburn’s annual Swim for MS intrasquad meet.To follow the Tigers, fans can log on to AuburnTigers.com.
