The Great BCSNCG Dilemma

I figured this would be a nice break from all the coaching stuff.

The turds won the SEC….barely….so now they get to play Notre Dame in the National Championship Game.

Personally, I think the turds are going to kill Notre Dame, because Notre Dame plays a joke schedule against bad teams.  At the end of the year, they have played 3 ranked teams and barely won each game.  They needed triple overtime to beat Pitt.  Their schedule, while against teams with mostly winning or .500 records, was largely weak compared to Bammer’s.

Meanwhile, Bammer played in the toughest league in the country, beat 3 top 10 teams, lost to the probable Heisman winner, and actually had to play a conference championship game against the number 3 team in the country.  They are much tougher and more battle hardened than the Irish.

I am truly torn.  I’d love to see the BCSNC stay in the SEC yet another year, and dare I say I am getting used to the turds winning, but I hate Bammer more than anyone who is reading this could possibly fathom.  I hate their trailer trash redneck fans, I hate their robotic a-hole coach, I hate their stupid Elephant mascot, I hate the way they point fingers at us yet have more than double the NCAA violations and sanctions, and most of all, I hate their made up, fairy-tale championships that they will argue straight to the face of God about.  They are easily the most ignorant, embarassing, idiotic, and ridiculous fanbase in all of college football.

However, as much as I hate the turds, Notre Dame carries its ownspecial brand of CapnVegetto hatred.  Notre Dame has been completely irrelevant for 20+ years, and will likely never be at the level they were at in the 60′s again.  However, their fanbase continues to remain among the most arrogant, insufferable f-cks on the planet, despite the fact that they play a crap schedule, have no conference championship game, and haven’t won anything of note in more than two decades.  The very notion that they think they are too good to join a conference is a testement to how unbelievably arrogant they are.  Most Bammer fans are just stupid, uneducated,  inbred, redneck trailer trash whose brains are too underdeveloped to evolve beyond their current level of idiocy.  Notre Dame fans, however, actually KNOW AND UNDERSTAND that they haven’t been worth a pile of mastodon crap for the last two decades, yet they STILL CONTINUE to be the arrogant, insufferable f-cks I referred to earlier.

So you see my dilemma.  Do I pull for the turds and take some solace that the BCSNC hasn’t left the state of Alabama in 4 years, or do I pull for the Irish and add to their rampant stupidity?  It’s like trying to decide if I would like put my head in a hydraulic press or drink a gallon of Roto-Rooter.  Both options suck.  Which one sucks less?

If only there was a way they could both lose.  What do you think?

While I understand your delimma, I feel that it really doesn’t matter.

    Why?

When Auburn football is inconsequential… I tend to lose interest in the whole mess.

    But that is just me…

To recap, until AU football is helping decide the future of the championship – regardless of whether we are playing in the game or if we are simply competitive element that helped decide the participants… I give two rips about who wins or who plays. And that goes for any other team in the SEC… greater South… or any other category you can list.

    War Eagle

  2. mikeautiger says:

Very much of a delimma, I fell your pain…..if only they could both be found ineligable and it could be like USC, we just do not have a NC this year.

The fact that both these teams have to go around telling everyone how great they are simply shows that they feel they are inferior, and you are as you think.

    War eagle!

……Games like this, I just laugh at whoever’s losing. Like Aaron Murray throwing a check-down pass with no timeouts left yesterday. Bama just TRUCKED Georgia’s supposedly great defense featuring the great Jarvis Jones and Jordan Jenkins.

…..I figure a similar fate awaits Manti T’eo, and the Irish defense, too.

    • mgizmo2005 says:

Not implying at all that Georgia isn’t the greatest choke job in football, but that pass was tipped. It was supposed to go closer to the endzone. Poor clock management. I blame coaching for that.

All bets are off this far away from the game. These teams have too much time to prepare. Remember how differently Oregon looked when we played them? I have a feeling Alabama will be plenty prepared and play as well as they have all year. Notre Dame, I could barely speculate on them.

      • Acid Reign Acid Reign says:

…..I didn’t realize the ball was tipped till I read it later. Throwing a fade made more sense.

        • mgizmo2005 says:

I saw it right away, but it took Gary like 3 replays to figure it out. One of the rare instances I was right about something, although I don’t know if me being smarter than Gary Danielson is saying that much. When are they going to get some more knowledgeable guys in the booth for CBS?

          • Acid Reign Acid Reign says:

……I was watching the game in a small computer window, while playing pinball. When the clock ran out, I flipped the channel. I sure didn’t want to see Bama celebrating.

So happy that this site is back and in full effect…..vintage Capt this morning….

That’s a lot of hate, dude. I mean I get it, but wow. I have to pull for the Irish. Kelly got the first shot off yesterday during pre game….some quotable quote about bringing football back to being about student athletes….however, it if Bama has to be beaten (and they do), why does it have to be The Fighting Irish?

  5. challenger10 says:

Too bad we cannot root for a tie anymore

  6. MyAuburn myauburn says:

I too am torn. The only thing that makes either team winning as bearable is, if UA wins, the BCS stays in Ala. If ND wins, there is no one other than Auburn that the Turds would hate to lose to.

  7. DBAU81 says:

No dilemma here whatsoever. I wouldn’t root for Alabama if they were playing the Taliban. Go Irish!

  8. Wombat Wombat says:

I also hate Notre Dame, but it’s the updyking teabaggers that I have to deal with everyday. Go Irish :(
