Two Auburn athletes have been named to the All-South Eastern Conference Volleyball Team. The league office announcd today that senior outside hitter Sarah Bullock and junior middle blocker Camila Jersonsky were named to the All-SEC second team.
Bullock led the Tigers this year with 371 kills (3.50/set) – the10th best in the conference and she was second on the team in digs with 351 (3.31/set). She finished her career as the fifth player in Auburn history to amass 1,000 career kills and 1,000 career digs.
Jersonsky led the Tigers with a .356 hitting percentage, which was the fifth best in the SEC. She ranks as the Tigers’ all-time leader in career hitting percentage (.356), ninth in total career blocks (261) and 10th in block assists (226), and she still has another year left in college.
Head Volleyball Coach Rick Nold said,”I am really proud of both Sarah and Camila for being selected to the All-SEC team. They have both put in a tremendous amount of work and were instrumental to our success this season.”
The Tigers completed their third consecutive winning season in 2012 finishing with a 17-13 record. Congratulations to Sarah and Camilla and War Eagle!
