Oh, How the Mighty Have Fallen

This has been one of the most enjoyable weeks I can  remember for as long as I have been a football fan.  The Bammers are in full on nuclear meltdown mode. I have have been gleefully trolling every Bammer website I can find giggling like a schoolgirl at their infantile drivel.  I’ve even gone so far as to compare myself to a crackhead, unable to stop smoking the sweet rock that is the unending stream of turd meltdown.

However, amongst the giggling, jumping, and pathetic attempt at happy dancing a startling realization occurred to me:  How unbelievably hyprocritical the Updykes are.

Don’t believe me?  Go to any Bama website and just look.  Take a good look.  Pretty much every single thing that they accuse everybody else of doing is EXACTLY what they are doing.  Over the last two years, we’ve had to deal with their insufferable arrogance and superiority complex, all the while listening to them chastise us and every single other program they beat on the field.  Now, the shoe is on the other foot, and they are guilty of doing pretty much EVERYTHING that they spent the last two years making fun of us and everybody else for.  Some examples:

Blaming the refs.

Saying how lucky we were.

Saying they weren’t ready to play.

Saying the opposing coach is unethical and a cheater.

Writing about ending the Iron Bowl and moving Auburn to the East.  (Oh my God, imagine the blowup if we had said stuff like that last year.   THEY ARE SCARED OF US!!!  THEY DON’T WANT TO PLAY US!!!  ROOOOOWLL TIIIYYDE!!!)

Oh yeah….and BLAMING THE REFS.

These are just off the top of my head.  According to them, they have never lost a game for any reason other than they were unlucky and cheated by the refs.  Basically, they are acting the EXACT SAME WAY that they have spent the last two years making fun of us and everyone else that has lost to them for.   It is pretty much the most blantant display of hypocracy that I can ever recall seeing outside of Washington D.C.

Let’s forget for a moment the fact that their classless fanbase is firing off death threats to Cade Foster.  That is just trailer park nation venting stupidity.  They call US rednecks?  How many death threats do you think Gene Chizik got last year?  Sure….we wanted him fired.  But we didn’t want to KILL him.  We thanked Chizik for his service to the University, (to the tune of a few million dollars), and let him go.  He still lives in Auburn and still speaks highly of the University.

Forgetting all of that, they are blaming the refs, the bounces, the luck, and pretty much every other reason that they can think of other then just plain old getting their butts kicked.  Sorry, Bammers.  You lost.  You were beaten by the better team.  Auburn wanted it more.  Would you beat us in a 7 game series?  5 game series?  Maybe.  Probably.  But on Saturday night, you got your sorry butts kicked right back to the trailer parks from whence you came.  Period.  End of Discussion.

Were there lucky bounces?  Sure.  Missed calls?  Probably.  But name ONE SINGLE FOOTBALL GAME where that DOESN’T HAPPEN.  You can’t.  Did you play your best game?  Nope.  Did Auburn?  Nope.  How many wide open throws did Nick Marshall miss downfield when you blew coverages?  Don’t talk to me about how you weren’t perfect.  It’s rare that you ever are.  It’s rare that we ever are.

It’s tough to deal with a loss like this.  They will be hearing about this game for the next 50 years.  But after the last two years of insufferable arrogance from the Updykes, they have NO ground to stand on when it comes to making excuses.  There are no words for how gratifying I find it to see them doing EXACTLY what they’ve been making fun of everyone else for doing.  Reading RollBamaRoll and other sites has simply been hilarious.  I can’t emphasize enough how much I have enjoyed the fallout of the Iron Bowl.  Watching Trailer Park Nation implode and become the poster children for hypocracy has been more gratifying than being the only male present at a Sports Illustrated swimsuit-photo shoot.

And that is pretty damn gratifying.

I admit that I’ve been trolling this week as well. Actually went to the point in the blog run at rollbamaroll of Davis’ kick six just so I could see the point when their heart actually exploded into pieces… and you are right, it was fun. Kind of like watching a kid at Wal-Mart fall to the ground and pitch a tantrum when he found out that a toy was sold out. “Honey, we will just have to go to the Dollar Store and get you something similar… NO, it won’t do, I must have my BCS trophy!!! — WHAAAA!!!”

I kind of feel sorry for Saban, players and alumni of UA because they have to put up with the mutants sitting at table 9… My wife hates bama because they kidnapped anything hounds-tooth. How do you monopolize a fabric???

Did you see where a female bama fan shot and killed another female bama fan??? Because she wasn’t taking the loss serious enough…Wow, just wow! When is A&E going to do a reality series on bama fans?

Why no reality series on Bama fans? Because you can’t have THAT show and Honey-Boo-Boo on TV during the same week–the planet would go off its axis or something like that. :-) MVH

Bammers and democrats sure sound a lot alike.

Yes, RBR has been hilarious. Particularly, the ‘Open Letter to Mizzou Nation’……the amount of time that they blame the refs after browbeating UGA fans all year for doing it…….the hypocrisy is thick. Thick. Thick. Thick……but mostly hilarious.

I’ve also seen the mighty Saban being questioned. Look if you feel the need to question a coach who has brought 2 BCS MNC’s home and has a statue on campus…..who are you really going to be satisfied with? Honestly.

Ditto on the trolling RBR. It is comedy of the highest order. Now it seems like the football season is over on the site, mostly non football stories. I guess a bowl game other than the CG doesn’t warrant any writing.

Capt V, I wouldn’t worry too much about bama. That big elephant in the room… wasn’t so big after all. We found out that they put their pants on… just like us. Human. And what’s more… the process, well. It can build championships. The thing is bama fans are so apathetic that its only a matter of time before they implode for another 20+ years.

My hope going into the SEC championship game is that AU can prepare for the future. A NC title would be a nice start.

    War Damn Eagle!

Track’em Tigers, just like beagles…. Give’em Hell you War Damn Eagles!

    Now… and forever!
