War Eagle, everybody! It’s the tenth Auburn football Saturday of the year, and tonight Auburn takes on the Georgia Bulldogs! For the Tigers, it’s a chance to redeem a wasted year with a big win over their oldest rival. For the Bulldogs, it’s a chance to wrap up a berth in the SEC title game. This game will kickoff at 6:00 PM, in Jordan Hare Stadium, and on ESPN-2 television.
For those attending the game, expect clear skies and temps in the upper 60s at kickoff. By the time the game ends, the mercury will have fallen to around 50 degrees, so a jacket might be in order.
As always, feel free to join in and enjoy this thread today! We’ll be watching the day’s games, and I’ll be popping in from time to time, while I tend to a simmering pot of gumbo. We’ll gear up for a play by play tonight, as Auburn attempts to take down Georgia in Jordan Hare Stadium. War Eagle, and beat those Bulldogs!

…..Checking the Community Coffee Scoreboard… Tennessee and Missouri are knocking heads at Neyland. The Vols cling to a 28-21b lead late in the third.
…..South Carolina is waxing Arkansas, 31-13, also in the third. Gamecocks are first and goal, too.
…..And in for another Gamecock score. They now lead 38-13.

What a different Auburn team from 2 years ago. I just hope that the Auburn decision makers have the good sense to hire a great coach. Auburn needs to give the coach complete control of the program. May be wishful thinking.
I am looking forward to watching Johnny Football play today. I am hoping for an upset of Bama today.
Let’s beat the bulldogs! I have been hearing all week from my bulldog friends how bad they are going to beat Auburn. As I mentioned earlier, Buck Belue predicted on 680 The Fan in Atlanta that Georgia could win by as much as 50.

…..Surprise Saturday: Louisville and SEC coaching candidate Charlie Strong are trailing Syracuse, 45-26, midway through the 4th.
…..Florida is losing to Louisiana Lafayette 17-13 early in the 4th. That could be big.
…..Johnny Football is making Alabama’s defense look like Auburn’s. Texas A&M drives, and takes the early 7-0 lead on Bama.
Texas A&M made the first TD look easy. Tennessee 42 Missouri 35 2nd overtime.
Could be a good day for upsets.
….Johnny Manziel pulls a Houdini act, and drills it to Ryan Swope for the score! Bama trails, 14-0.
14-0 Texas A&M. Missouri just got screwed on the two point conversion. It was a catch. Missouri 48 UT 42.
…..Missouri kicks a field goal in the 3rd OT, and defeats Tennessee 51-48.
The talking heads all said that Johnny Football would be unable to run on Alabama today. Missouri 51 UT 48.
Denny stadium is getting quiet today. A&M came to play today.
Just got back from an outside outing before this nasty frigid cold front hits…loving this TAMU game! Manziel is fun to watch…when you aren’t playing him.

…..Bama’s defense is basically the same as ours was. They are getting killed when they blitz.
…..We’re sweltering in the Tragic City. It’s nearly 80 outside, and I’m considering turning the AC on.
We are comfy in the low 60′s….tomorrow’s high will be below freezing…..
….I like it cold, as long as the power stays on! We’ve not quite made it to freezing yet, here. Had some lows in the 30s this week.
Most of our leaves are gone before we get the white stuff, so generally, we don’t lose power. Also in some areas, the power lines are buried. It’s wise, because we get really high winds on a regular basis…..our sprinklers and what not have been blown out for weeks. A couple of days later, we got a dusting of snow…didn’t last very long, but that’s fall on the Great Plains.
This game will get interesting if Bama starts moving the ball on a regular basis.
Oh, and I really detest hot weather and humidity. Living in Montana spoiled us; we get all weather extremes in South Dakota.
When it gets too cold to play golf I get depressed…55 at the lowest. When it gets below that I am ready for Spring.
Just watching some video of the Texas Tech game and it looks like Tommy T. hit one of his assistants.

….We saw Tuberville go off on Auburn assistants during the game, from time to time. Most memorable was during the 2006 Iron Bowl. Auburn led 14-3 late in the first half, and Bama was 3rd and 10. Will Muschamp called a double safety blitz, with man coverage. Bama ran a slant, and David Irons dove for the pass and missed. The Bama receiver went 58 yards for a touchdown. Tuberville went on an absolute RANT on the sideline at Muschamp!
……Early in the 4th, Texas A&M extends the lead over Bama to 23-17. Can they hold on?
I hate to think that Auburn will have to face Manziel for 3 more years. Hopefully, they can hold on. Big field goal miss by A&M. I am ready for the kickoff.

Who would ever think we would play this bad against one of our historic rival?. Not me, until this coaching staff. Now I expect it.
I think that Chizik is gone after this performance. There is no excuse for this team to play this way with the talent level; however, we could use a good junior college QB for next year.

McCarron is pretty good when he has plenty of time…get some pressure on him and he will make mistakes. That OL of Alabama’s is pretty stout…at least 3-4 of those guys will eventually be playing on Sundays.

I have given up. This was a disgrace. I didn’t really believe we would compete tonight, but even my most pessimistic visions of what this would look like have been exceeded. Here’s to better times and War Eagle, sigh.

I will not be surprised if things move more quickly and chizik is let go or he resigns on Monday. That was embarrassing especially on defense where there was no effort
It is time to move on Chizik and get started with a new coaching staff so that Auburn can salvage recruits. One more year of no wins in the SEC cannot be tolerated. Auburn has set some new records for losing under Chizik.
Well I’ve been vociferous for allowing Chizik another year….Not anymore. Sorry but this team is apathetic and I dare say that a complete cleaning needs to happen…all the coaches the AD the assistant AD EVERYTHING!!!!!
I love my Tigers….but the coaches and even some of the players need to go! Everyone on that staff should get a pink slip tomorrow!

Three weeks into the season it was apparent things were No Bueno when we went to OT with UL-Monroe. The Arkansas loss was the kiss of death five games in. Follow that with being routed by Ole Miss and the eventual loss to Vandy – which is, in my mind, the final nail in any coach’s coffin.
