Auburn fans, you may not have caught the AP polls that were released tonight. The news flash is that there is no news for AU fans anyway. In fact, there hasn’t been news since 2011. But some things happened this weekend that you need to be made aware.
First: Auburn beat its first top 25 team since 2011. And it is a good thing. But Ole Miss is starting to look suspect. It’s probably good that AU didn’t earn a ranking this week only to lose it when it plays Texas A&M.
Second: There is some major games next week in the SEC.
Alabama versus Kentucky – this game is a sleep fest sure… but you never really know in the SEC.
Missouri versus Georgia – this game has instant relevance now that UGA has major personnel down for the count. I smell an upset. This will be Mizzou’s first signature win.
Texas A&M versus Ole Miss – Ole Miss will not get up to answer the call. I think the Aggies make the bears in to burgers.
Florida versus LSU – This game smells like the battle for third best. I think LSU wins this win going away.
South Carolina versus Arkansas – The Ole ball coach may slur his words after the game… but I think with USC’s defense…this game will never be in doubt.
MSU versus Bowling Green – I personally can’t stand Dan Mullen. However, this new QB that they have… I think he might be really good next year. Look for MSU to win this one going away.
Auburn versus Western Carolina – Let’s hope AU gets this one done early. The following week for Auburn is Texas A&M in College Station. After last year’s drubbing… I hope the Tigers do much better. Much like the rest of Jordan Hare… I was gone by half time. If AU can make this a game… I think a ranking will be worthy of us!
I did mention the SEC, but I must state that next week will be good football all around. Check these games out:
Rutgers versus Louisville
Oregon versus Washington
Boston College versus Clemson
Stanford versus Utah
California versus UCLA
Texas versus Oklahoma
Baylor versus K. State
Stock up on your chips and coke! And enjoy the fall!
