HaHa Clinton-Dix is suspended indefinitely and speculation from some with no ax to grind is it’s more AgentGate and more current players are to follow.
I read this on several sports sites about the suspension, but no reasons why. While i hate bama as much as anyone just remember karma is a double edge sword that can cut both ways. What happens there can happen at AU easily enough.
I am hearing other grumblings about bama but i highly doubt the NCAA or the SEC will kill the golden goose.
This will gain about as much traction as Fluker-Gate. i.e. none.
Just one man’s opinion…
This “shield” Alabama seems to have I believe is more about the media’s love affair with all things Saban than a true effort to protect UofA…when Nicky leaves (and he will w/in 2-3 years) they’ll get slammed hard for the stuff they’re skating pass now !
Right now saban and the Tide are the flavor that’s the fav…that will change quickly when Nick is gone and someone else like Meyer, new Texas coach, or new coach at USC starts winning big. Right now Nick has no competition for the media (ESPN) spotlight.
The media within the state of Alabama, and national media native to the state, have covered for UAT for decades. In state media coverage would generate at least some degree of national coverage. When any inkling of bad news comes out of Auburn the in state media swarm like a school of inbred piranhas. Have they done the same about DJ Fluker or Clintin-Dix? No, and they won’t.
I think the national and even regional media would love to stick it to Saban but it’s goung to take someone that knows the ins and outs of the inbred nation to get any dirt on them.
NCAA investigating Alabama has the same likelihood as finding a Unicorn in Tuscaloosa…Karma can kiss my Saban after the drudging, to include all the comments spewed by the crimson trailer nation, we went through in 2010.
We should take up a collection for the NCAA so they can buy themselves a FLASHLIGHT, a COMPASS, and a MAP of the capstone so they can get down to business on this issue. This is exactly the same type of “offense” we were accused of with Eric Ramsey that ultimately resulted in Coach Dye resigning…
Exactly. And along with the other reasons stated above, Bama skates because of Emmert’s and Saban’s shared knowledge of where the bodies are buried in East Lansing and Baton Rouge and Derrick Crawford, who took the head of NCAA enforcement job because as he said, ” Alabama isn’t getting a fair shake fom the NCAA”
Unicorns sighted. Leveling of the playing field has begun with a small ground-breaking about 2 weeks ago. Peace on bammer. Sun will shine and all is well. I could be wrong……but I’m not. I will not gloat. I will just be satisfied with justice.
Nothing will come of this. But it did put a smile on my face for a minute or so. Roll Turd!
I read he took a loan from the Strength and Conditioning coach for $500. Short term loan that he repaid and has proof it was repaid. Still a violation. And the word is that the S&C Coach may have ties to an agent..tho that has yet to be substantiated.
“Short term loan” is bammer code talk for “weekly recurring payment to student athlete”.
The Yahoo Sports inside investigation SHOWED pictures of scanned western union $$$ transfers directly linked to bammar boosters/playahs…but I’m confident that “crimson” proof trumps those pesky investigative reporters’ proof in any NCAA court of opinion, I mean law. YS also accounted for the Reggie Bush / USC scandal but they have no credebilty…none…nope.
Someone needs to make a heart-felt plea to Mrs. NCAA and ask her to please give her old man his wedding tackle back…so he can do his JOB.
Money $peaks louder than wedding tackle.
Corey Harris, assistant strength coach and loan officer at UAT, was an assistant coach at Stanhope-Elmore High School while Dee Milliner was there. What do you think the odds are that Harris got the Bama loan officer job for guiding Milliner to Bama ? Pretty damn high I’d say !
Or it might have something to do with the fact that the head coach at SEHS is a former Alabama player who was a member of the 1992 national championship team
I’m more interested in the “loans” that Harris has evidently been providing.
Pat Dye’s resignation was, as I recall, more for health reasons than anything else. I’m sure the Ramsey debacle didn’t help, but I don’t think for a minute that a tough ole codger like Pat Dye would have quit for that reason.
Give it time guys. These things don’t happen over night. The NCAA investigators are in Tuscaloosa now. It took four years for the Reggie Bush stuff to come down the pipeline. We’ll be seeing these things pop up more and more often. There’s all kinds of this stuff waiting to be found. I’ve been saying it’s there for years.
