Eighteen games were on the schedule for us last weekend and a funny thing happened at the finish: two games were pushes. What that means is if the spread is hit on exactly, the game is a ‘push’, meaning no one got it correct. In other words, there is a fence and the spread is it, and you have to fall on either side of it. Out of the sixteen games left, a whole slew of us got ten points, but Al Borges won the tiebreaker and is the victor valiant.
Twenty-five of us entered no picks for week five, which is kind of disturbing that over 40% of the field failed to play. We always have about a quarter of the people who sign up at the beginning of the year not finish, but I hope week five was an aberration. Thar’s bragging rights at stake, folks, so don’t give up on us, baby.
Lines aren’t quite up yet as I write this, at least for the Auburn-Ole Miss game. A good rule of thumb for Auburn games, at least for me: If we are favored, don’t lay the points. If we are the dog, take em. Vegas has us a 3.5 dog this afternoon, which if you go by my system, is a good thing–if you’re a betting man/woman.
Enough of all that. Only four points between #1 and #10. Here’s our top 25 going into week six:
|Rank||Pick Set Name||Total||Dropped||W-L|
|7||War Eagle Atlanta||50||18||50-24|
|9||Nick Marshall is a DB not a QB||50||19||50-24|
|10||I’m a Manziel I’m 40||50||19||50-24|
|11||IT’S MALZ ON||50||19||50-24|
