13454699-standardAuburn University announced today that Saturday’s game against the Ole Miss Rebels will be played at night. The Tigers and Rebels are scheduled to kick off on ESPNU at 6:00 p.m. Central Time.

The television networks ¬†assigned four of this Saturday’s SEC games this morning. Besides Auburn’s home game, LSU will play at Mississippi State at 6 p.m. on ESPN, Florida and Arkansas will kickoff at 6 p.m. on ESPN2, and Georgia and Tennessee will be on CBS in the 2:00 p.m. slot.

Both the Tigers and the Rebels are 3-1 after Ole Miss suffered a loss to Alabama yesterday in Tuscaloosa. Which ever team wins this Saturday’s game should be in good position for garnering early post season attention from Bowl committees.

Hugh-Freeze-300x185It’s widely known that Gus Malzahn and Mississippi Coach Hugh Freeze have a friendship that goes way back and are use to swapping trade secrets … but not this year as the two find themselves as SEC West opponents.

Freeze said this week, “I have great respect for Gus (but) next week I won’t think of him as a friend.” The feeling is probably mutual for Malzahn. Fans may be entertained with a high scoring game when the two HUNH’s square off this Saturday night in Jordan-Hare.
