Guys, we so appreciate your patience with us during our transition time to this new venue. I know many of you have had issues trying to log in and comment, but don’t just think about yourself in this time of need, just imagine how hard it’s been for us trying to put all this together in a toally new environment. It’s the blog equivilant of having to dump your desk into file boxes on a Friday afternoon and then be at your new job on Tuesday morning (assuming a holiday weekend). If it seems like at times we don’t know what the hell we’re doing, then you’re right, we really don’t know what the hell we’re doing. If any of yuns are IT professionals, then by all means, drop us a post card.

Square Space is our new home and so for the time being, it’s hip to be square. Besides, if you wanted to hang out with the cool, new, young kids who don’t have jobs, you’d be still on SBN. Okay, that’s all the jabs I got for scabs. It’s probably best not to pit Auburn brother against brother, but just don’t believe the line about it falling in their lap. In the end, We will have basically our same product here and we welcome all that still want to participate. But just in case you were wondering, here are the immediate answers to your most pressing questions:

  • Yes, we had previously banned all the fawning Bama fans and RBR writers
  • No, it wasn’t because of my Mo Isom piece
  • No, we didn’t file for unemployment
  • Yes, that really is me in my handsome avatar image
  • Yes, it’ll be me headlining the strong Facebook presence we’ll open up
  • No, I don’t have any extra tickets to the Clemson game because I live in Atlanta
  • No, you can’t stay with me.
  • We’re going to roll with the existing commenting protocol for the time being, but we may switch back to Disqus again. We tried that initially before we aborted that attempt. I’m just hoping I can get this first post in without deleting it first. Trying to figure out things like adding pics, tags, and hyper links are a little above my pay grade at the moment, but we’ll get the hang of it before too long.

One little tidbit too rich to leave out: Alabama’s athletic department self reported <a href=”27 secondary rules violations”</a> on Tuesday, including four from the football team. One of those was “accepting a Facebook friend request before the allowable date”. Man, I think we’re all in trouble if that’s going to be the way it is.

I’ll see you guys next week with some football. Thanks for still being here!

    1. Ugly Joe says:

      Thank you for being here

    2. Jumpn' Jack Flash says:

So are we to assume the real reason for the change shall forever remain a mystery?

      • War Eagle Atlanta says:

I guess so because we weren’t given a reason. It doesn’t really matter now. Having the resources of SBN was great, but we’re going to be here if you guys still are.

    3. LSU Jonno says:

"No, you can’t stay with me. "

      There go my plans…

    4. Derrick Roberts says:

I’m so intrigued by this (the departure from SB Nation). I guess we’ll never know. Bummer.

I look forward to TET having a more flexible platform to operate on. Are you guys working getting similar features from the previous TET incarnation like FanPosts, FanShots, and the like?

What’s the forecast like? Is the new site getting good traffic still? If the quality content continues to pour through I think TET will be just fine in the long run – better even.

    5. Revan1977 Revan says:

I have a few questions. I have tried to be a very reasonable poster even if i said things that were not the popular Auburn thing to say. I try to say things from a reasonable point of view with predictions and what not. I consider myself a knowledgable football person and try to post that way.

My question is was the banning of the RBR writers just because of being bama fans, or because of trolling? I personally dont troll but sometimes I have seen people labeled trolls for telling the truth.

Also am I welcome here? I feel like if we can have civilized conversation even if we cant or dont agree on things then what is the harm in that.

Is this a site where honest conversation can happen or does it have to be a orange tinted glasses oriented.
