This is a really emotional post for me. If you will excuse the walk down memory lane I would like to, at least for now, say goodbye as an editor here at Track ‘Em Tigers.
My time at TET has been nothing short of wonderful. Mostly because of the readers and partly because of the good friends I have been blessed to be associated with as editors of this site.
Since I first commented on TET, and then was asked to become a permanent fixture, we have seen the debacle at Vanderbilt, the changes made in the coaching staffs, and the first official National Championship in 53 years for our beloved Auburn.
Through it all I have learned a great deal. The passion that you have exhibited about not just a football program, but the entire University, has been life altering. That spirit of Auburn is alive and well at Track ‘Em Tigers.
There have been moments as an Auburn family where we all struggled. I see no need to rehash any of those times here, instead like most Auburn folk I‘ll cherish the good times, and thank GOD for letting me be a part of such a wonderful family.
This has been a hard decision for me but one that I realize I need to make. For some time now, my wife and I have been traveling a lot in our RV and it has become increasingly difficult to meet publishing deadlines as an editor.
Now that there will be some new writers coming on board here at TET, its a good time to step back. I want you to know though, I will still be around, just not in the role as an editor.
I could never thank any of you enough for the interactions with my posts, and the conversations we have shared over the years. As I hit the road into the Orange & Blue sunset, please know I am going to miss each of you, truly.
