Before the season, Auburn’s Cody Parkey was picked by several national magazines to be one of the bestkickers in college football.  So far he is living up to those expectations.

Cody leads the SEC in field goal percentage having gone six for six in field goal attempts. In addition he has hit all six of his PAT’s and his kickoffs has kept opponents backed up. His six for six field goal kicks ranks him among the NCAA’s top 10 kickers in field goals per game.

And today the SEC office announced that Cody has been named the SEC Special Teams Player of the Week for his game winning overtime kick Saturday against Louisiana Monroe.
