The Dallas Ft Worth News has been reporting tonight that the Dallas Cowboys are tring to hire Rich Bisaccia away from Auburn. The paper says the, “Cowboys have zeroed in on Rich Bisaccia for their special teams coordinator job and could make the hire official as early as Thursday if a buyout from Auburn is finalized.
Bisaccia was hired Jan. 3 to be Auburn’s assistant coach in charge of special teams and running backs. The Cowboys are still trying to work out the final details of Bisaccia’s buyout from his current Auburn contract before they can officially announce the hire.”

Are you F-ing kidding me?! There’s only two weeks till signing day!!
Yea that stinks wonder who the replacment will be NFL sucks they hire someone from collage ranks realy hurts because eveyone is usually already hired
Our old special teams coach was good, but we still need a running backs coach and in a bad way. We only got Cameron right now and he is a JUCO. There is only one slot open for a coach. This guy was pulling double duty. How the hell are you going to fill a RB coach position and Special Teams coach position with only one coaching slot available?
I can almost see Malzahn’s face turning a shade of maroon right now.
It’s the Dallas Cowboys for crying out loud!
I was wondering if we would be affected by the NFL and their last minute moves. I will be surprised if he stays.
Too bad AU can’t get Boulware back. He was an excellent coach at special teams.

If he leaves, and it looks like he will, I hope Gus takes his time in finding the right replacement. Granted, there are only a couple of weeks left until signing day. But, realistically, how much recruiting impact could a new hire have in that limited amount of time anyway? It’s more important to have the right guy in place for the long term – and hopefully one who won’t bolt at the first new opportunity.
I wouldn’t want to work for Jerry Jones:

But, I also thought it was a jump for Bisaccia to come down to the college ranks anyway. I wish him the best of luck; he’s gonna need it!
More importantly, how Malzahn handles this set back will speak volumes to how his tenure at Auburn will go. I’m with DBAU81, I hope he takes the time to find a right fit, versus a reactionary hire to fill a hole.
I don’t care if it’s the Dallas Cowboys. It speaks to a man and his word. Most people have to turn in a two week notice, he should have had to do at least one season on the Plains.
The Cowboys have been a scumbag organization ever since they fired Tom Landry. Jerry Jones is a scumbag and everybody that works for him is a scumbag by association.
This might have been premature. I read tonight where Gus indicated that Bissachi still worked for auburn and was on the recruiting trail.
That means either Gus is in denial (like Notre Dame’s all American linebacker) or he has things well in hand.
Take a breath and a pause for the cause.
Until Gus proves he is unreliable i say give him a chance.

Thanks ’88.
I hope he’s still on Gus’ bus.
I hope so too. We got a lot of miles to travel and I’d prefer to start out on a good note.
Besides i have tried to corroborate the story and its been difficult. Perhaps i need to take off my orange and blue glasses.

Malzahn is in the middle of the recruiting season. You can’t expect him to say anything else and if Bisaccia is still on the payroll (@ $500 k per yr.) he damn well better be out recruiting.
As for Corroboration, the Cowboys have it posted on their website at Dallascowboys.com – http://www.dallascowboys.com/news/article-NickEatman/Staff-Starting-To-Get-Clearer-At-Special-Teams-RB-TE-Spots–/21dee09e-574c-495d-a3a3-2ed220f298ed
I hope the negoiations fall through and he stays but the story is every where ….

What I read last night indicated that Gus said at this point Biassaci is still employed by and recruiting for Auburn but would not discuss the matter any further. He left the obvious question unanswered. To me this is not good news. I hope I’m wrong.
